Blasting reality...Is India an insecure destination?

Pitching to be a superpower, it is shameful to see innocent people dying in bomb blasts, sometimes in Mumbai, sometimes in Delhi, all in quick succession.  With all the technological advances, Indian Govt has not been able to create a deterrent effect among the terrorist lines.

Each time a blast occurs, we see the security officials, along with the sniffer dogs, literally sniffing the blood stained roads, searching for the cause of their inefficiency. At the present level of economic development, India cannot be seen as an insecure destination. The gaping holes in our inefficient governance must be addressed fully and securely.

No security measure is foolproof, as for every solution carries the seed of another problem. The ruthless killings can be averted, if India mends its fences with all its neighbours in an atmosphere of trust and cooperation. As one diplomat, put it, India as a big brother, must address the rampant securities of its neighbours so that threat to regional stability can be minimised.

We, as Indians, must realise that we must walk hand in hand with our neighbours and make all efforts to restructure our foreign policy to create an atmosphere of sustained trust. We may be a billion plus but each life is sacred.
