FDI in retail seems like a storm in the tea cup. It reeks of deals debated, identified and being struck. T.V. shows, radio satire(s), experts opinions –all are being aired in support or against allowing entry of FDI in Indian Retail Sector. The key players have laid the field, the positions are slotted, the full back defence is in place. The ball is waiting to be struck to roll. Will the umpire blow the whistle or will he wait for the din and noise to subside.

It is being debated and order shall be issued. You may oppose, the powers will not depose. The decree has seemingly been given. The Indian farmer will now sow to create symphony orchestrated by the global players.

He shall toil, and for his efforts must agree that he must be given a fair price, for he supports the pyramid of affluence. Hey! Don’t strike the ball yet. Umpire, don’t blow the whistle yet. Let us ponder and be just to all. Sure, Bring in the Wal-Mart but don’t create walls of dissent.
